Join us over May half -term for lots of indoor and outdoor fun.
Here's what's on offer...
- Join a guided tour of the house (10.45am – 11am)*.
- Try on different parts of armour in the Great Hall.
- Embark on an indoor trail and find objects around the house.
- Explore the grounds on two wheels with our free to borrow balance bikes.
- Grab a nature explorer backpack from the Coach House and discover new ways to engage with nature. (limited number available)
- Take part in Rufford’s ‘Drawn on the Lawn’ experience and collect a free drawing art pack from the Coach House. why not hang up your artwork in our passageway gallery? (limited number available)
- Enjoy a warm drink, slice of cake or savoury treat in the Victorian tea-room.
- Bring your picnic basket and sit at one of the tables overlooking the canal or in the Orchard Paddock.
- Browse the second-hand book shop.

Join gardener Joel and members of a local poetry group for an introduction on Rufford's gardens, followed by poetry recitals inspired by the beauty of spring and blossom, by Preston Just Write.
May half term - Free Historical Fencing Workshops and Public Engagement
Enjoy fun and active games as an introduction to the sport and art of historical fencing, facilitated by Marc Smith's Historical Fencing Workshops. These workshops are pitched for children ages 5 - 13. Normal admission applies

Join Red Rose Woodturning Club, as they demonstrate how to turn a piece of wood into a beautiful object.
